Social networking giant Facebook Tuesday said it will collaborate with co-working spaces in India to set up 'Innovation Hubs' for startups.
These Innovation Hubs -- to be set up in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru -- will help foster innovation by hosting mentor hours and trainings for startups.
"At Facebook...access to resources, people and networks can be a powerful catalyst for their growth," Facebook India and South Asia Head of Platform Partnerships Satyajeet Singh said.
That is why Facebook is creating programmes that can fuel startups to build businesses of tomorrow through mentoring, regular trainings, workshops and meetups, he added.
He said within this year, Facebook has worked closely with over 200 startups through its programmes - India Innovation Hub, SheLeadsTech and Code for the Next Billion.
Besides, Facebook is also expanding efforts in smaller cities, including Jaipur, Panjim, Kochi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati and Shillong via SheLeadsTech Roadshow to inspire more women to think technology and entrepreneurship.
Currently, SheLeadsTech programme supports over 170 women founded startups in 24 cities by providing access to community, tools, mentorship and resources to build a business in technology.
