The encounter promises to be a heart thumping contest as Rangdajied United will be hoping to avoid relegation requiring at least a point to secure a berth in the next season's top tier football league in the country.
"Unlike Lajong, this will be the final game of the season for Rangdajied and hence we will go all out against our opponent," Rangdajied's coach Hering Shangpliang told PTI.
Lajong on the other hand has a daunting task ahead as they look to finish in the top five positions in the Table. They are currently at number 5 position, two points behind Sporting Clube de Goa.
Lajong's Coach Thangboi Singto stressed on the fact that the team has to be defensively compact and should not concede early in the match or else it would give additional advantages to the opponent.
The first Shillong derby resulted in a draw with Lajong's Boithang Haokip scoring a leveller after Yohei Iwasaki had given Rangdajied the lead.
