Fadnavis to accompany Prime Narendra Modi on visit to China

In a bid to give a boost to his 'Make In Maharashtra' initiative, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is all set to accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi to China, where the focus will be on developing relations between the two nations and carrying out sustainable urbanisation.
An official from the Chief Minister's Office said that on the first day of his five-day visit, Fadnavis will attend the Provincial Leaders' Forum, where the role of Indian states and Chinese provinces in fostering closer developmental partnership between India and China would be discussed.
"After this discussion, leaders from both countries will sign various agreements. Discussions will restart and focus on sustainable urbanisation which would include construction of smart cities and smart living," the official said.
On Saturday, Fadnavis would meet officials from YAPP Automotive (specialised in development and production of automotive fuel systems), China Bank, China Gezhouba Group (engaged in contract construction of projects), Great Wall Motor Company (sports utility vehicle and pick-up manufacturer), Taiyuan Heavy Industry (manufacturer of industrial machinery including products ranging from construction equipment to train wheels) as well as Sany (heavy machinery manufacturing company), the official said.
"On the last day of his tour (Monday), Fadnavis will attend a Maharashtra Investment seminar, along with other appointments," the official said.
Besides Fadnavis, the delegation from Maharashtra will include Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Praveen Singh Pardeshi, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation CEO Bhushan Gagrani and Secretary for Urban Development Manisha Mhaiskar.
