In a relief to students who failed this year's SSC (class X) exam in Maharashtra, the state government today announced supplementary exam for such students.
"Pleased to announced supplementary exam for students who failed in SSC 2015. The exam will help them to save a year and progress academically," education Minister Vinod Tawde said.
"Re-exam in second week of July for students who failed SSC 2015. Results out by third week of August and studies can be resumed by September 1. All the best!" the minister tweeted.
This is for the first time that students of the state board will get a chance to save their academic year. Until now, the students who used to fail in the state board exams were given a chance to re-appear for the exam in September-October.
The results used to be declared in December and students who passed could take admission to junior college only in the next year.
