Fake recruitment racket kingpin to be quizzed in Delhi

Two men, arrested in Ahmedabad for allegedly cheating people by running a fake web site for recruitment in CBI, are being brought here for questioning by the agency.
Coaching centre owner Raju Singh Malik alias Rajeev and Vikram Parmar, a final year B.Tech student, who were nabbed yesterday, will be interrogated at the CBI headquarters, sources said.
They said the scam was nipped in the bud as agency promptly acted on the input about the web site which was set on February 20 and attracted over 80 lakh hits since then.
The sources said duo had launched a fake CBI website www.Cbirecindia.Com to advertise jobs ranging from sweeper to inspector in the agency.
The website, registered on a US-based server, was created using a proxy server to conceal the identity of the domain registrant, CBI has alleged in its FIR.
The web site which was set as a purported mode of online application for serving in CBI asked the aspirants to deposit a particular 'application fee' for the post.

The sources said the duo created a website, identical to government websites with CBI logo, to give autheticity to their portal through which they allegedly advertised the posts of inspector, sub-inspector, photographers, head constables, constables, financial advisors, assistant sub-inspectors, photographers, cook, tailor etc.
In the fake advertisement posted on the website, the duo demanded minimum application fee Rs 250 for sweeper's job while the highest was for the inspector Rs 1,500 for filing the application and asked the applicants to deposit it in the bank account "Matrix" of IDBI Bank.
The sources said they are getting details of the bank and the laptops recovered from the accused which will be sent to cyber forensic experts for analysis.
