Delhi BJP leaders including its president Manoj Tiwari Thursday visited a government school in east Delhi's Trilokpuri where a student was injured after a ceiling fan fell on his head in the classroom.
Tiwari and other BJP leaders including Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta, also visited the inured boy admitted at GTB hospital.
According to media reports, the uncle of the injured student has alleged that no teacher or the principal of the school accompanied the 14-year-old boy to the hospital after the incident.
"Falling of the ceiling fan indicates a serious negligence. The accident could have injured other students as well," Tiwari said said after visiting the school.
"Apart from cost of construction, it is also questionable whether the quality of the construction was up to the standard. It appears that the quality of the construction- right from the door to the ceiling- is substandard and as a result the ceiling fan fell upon the student injuring him seriously," he said.
Sisodia talks about construction of world class rooms in Delhi government schools but there was nothing here which was different from other normal schools, he said.
