Family members booked over dowry

Cases have been registered against two separate families for allegedly torturing two women for dowry here.
In the first incident, a case was registered against Praveen, his father Rajendra, mother Jhilmil, brother Akshay and sister-in-law in Dayalpur village here yesterday for torturing his wife over dowry, police said.
The case was filed following the complaint by the victim Anshu, they said.
The victim alleged that her husband Praveen and his family members were threatening her for dowry since their marriage in January this year, police said.
In the other incident, a case was registered against four members of a family in Gandhi Colony area here over dowry yesterday.

According to the police, the complainant Mittu alleged that her husband Shyam and his family were misbehaving and torturing her for want of dowry.
We are investigating both the incidents, police added.
