According to the family members, the girl, a resident of Vijay Nagar area, went to purchase household items from a nearby market on Saturday but did not return.
They claimed that the girl might have been misled by few persons to run away from the house.
A complaint was made with the Vijay Nagar police but no action was taken against the accused persons, they said.
