Kinberg said he is "really focused" on a potential follow-up and hopes the same cast will return, reported Entertainment Weekly.
"I'm really focused on the next one. We're figuring out what that movie would be. I'd like that to happen," he said at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he was promoting "The Martian".
"Fantastic Four" failed to register success at the box office apparently after reports of behind-the-scenes drama and critical reviews came to a head just before its debut weekend.
"There was a lot of attention on the process of making that movie. It's hard, when you're making a movie, movies are hard to make. It's just the reality," Kinberg said.
