Health, education and development of basic infrastructure in Faridabad adjacent to the national capital will be high on agenda next year, MLA Vipul Goel said here today.
"In 2016, my priority would be health, education and basic infrastructure development in my Assembly constituency," the first time legislator said.
Goel, who won the last assembly elections on BJP ticket, claimed that during his one-year tenure development works to the tune of more than Rs 98 crore have been done in Faridabad.
Stressing the need for fast and time bound development in health and education, Goel said, "Primary schools would be upgraded to middle and high level schools and more focus will be laid on imparting technical education to the youths."
Plans are on to create a system where all government schools in the constituency would be adopted by corporates under Public Private Partnership model for improving the quality of education, infrastructure and overall development, he said.
Emphasising on the need to improve the health sector, Goel said, focus would be laid to improve infrastructure in the primary and secondary health centres.
"I would ensure world-class health centres in my constituency so that patients don't have to travel to Delhi or Gurgaon. Health camps for the poor will be organised in the slums and colonies with the specialised team of doctors and it will be made a regular feature," he said.
Traffic ambulances with qualified medics would be at specific point on the road to ensure that no accident victims dies due to lack of non availability of first hand treatment, Goel said, adding basic infrastructure of the city would also be upgraded.
