Farmer killed in mishap

A 40-year-old farmer was killed when his loaded tractor trolley of sugarcane overturned on him, police said today.
Kapil Kumar was carrying sugarcanes to a centre from Shorem village in a tractor trolley when the incident took place near Phugana in the district last evening, they said.
His body has been sent for postmortem.
In a separate incident, a 65-year-old man, Kaliram, was crushed to death by a speedy truck on Meerut-Karnal highway near Luchmipura village in Shamli district last evening, police said.
The truck driver has been taken into custody.
