Farmer suicide: Raje says govt committed to farmers' welfare

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today condoled the death of the farmer from her state who committed suicide at an AAP rally here, and said her government stands by farmers and is committed to their upliftment and welfare.

Terming the incident as sad, Raje expressed condolences to the farmer's family.

"The Rajasthan government will always stand by the farmers in every situation. The government is committed to the farmers' upliftment and welfare and is continuously working towards their interest," she said in a statement.

A father of three, Gajendra climbed a neem tree in Jantar Mantar, a stone's distance from Parliament, and put his 'gamcha' around his neck and tied it to a branch.
