Maharashtra BJP today accused the opposition parties of siphoning off the financial aid meant for the drought and rain-affected farmers in the state.
"The opposition parties keep alleging that the relief amount has not yet been distributed among the farmers, who have incurred losses due to drought and unseasonal rains. But the fact is that the banks, where the state government has deposited money, are run by opposition parties," Danve said while speaking at the party's state executive meet here.
"So if some farmers haven't received money, it is because those, who are running these banks have pocketed the money," Danve alleged.
Later, while speaking to reporters, Danve asked its ally Shiv Sena to come forward and resolve the differences between the two ruling parties.
"Though BJP and Sena are together in the government, there are certain issues where there are differences of opinion like nuclear plant in Jaitapur and giving financial aid to Mongolia. But if they want a discussion, they should come forward and talk to us," he said.
Danve said that the BJP will celebrate its one year in power at the Centre and six months in state by reaching out to people from May 26 to June 1.
"From May 26 onwards, Central leaders will come to the state and state leaders will go to zilla parishads. Similarly, zilla parishad leaders will go to village levels to talk to the people about the decisions of the government in the last one year," Danve said.
He added the 'Mahasampark Abhiyan' of the party will be held till July 31, where BJP workers will visit the houses of all 1.05 crore party members.
