Around 150 farmers assembled at Pari Chowk as per BKU's scheduled programme to block the traffic there. Traffic police diverted the traffic to other roads.
Yamuna Expressway traffic was, however, not affected by the agitation.
BKU representative Mahinder Singh Chirouli said the sit-in demonstration was withdrawn in the evening after the district administration promised to arrange a meeting with authority Chairman and district magistertae on Monday.
"Our other demands are payment of 64 percent hiked compensation, 10 percent developed land, six times the circle rate as land compensation as was promised by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav," he said.
