Farmers demand compensation for crop loss

Farmers here today staged a protest in collectorate area and demanded compensation from the state government for their crops damaged by untimely rains and hailstorms
"90 to 95 per cent of crops were damaged by rain and massive hailstorm on March 7. We demand that the government ensure proper assessment of damage," RLD leader Puran Prakash, who accompanied the protesting farmers, said while submitting a memorandum to Magistrate Rajesh Kumar in this regard.
