Farmers protest before PWD office

: Hundreds of farmers of Lower Bhavani Project ayacut area today laid siege to the Public Works Department office near here, demanding water for second turn dry crop irrigation.
The farmers shouted slogans demanding water and they protested in front of the office at Konaivaikkal for more than two hours before dispersing.
Officials told them that they will inform the government about their plea for taking necessary action.
