"Abdullah chaired the party Core Group meeting, which was also attended by NC Working President Omar Abdullah. This was the first Core Group Meeting chaired by the party president following his return to the state after recuperating from a surgery he underwent recently," an NC spokesman said.
He said Abdullah reviewed the organisational matters of the past two months and also reviewed various political developments in the State.
"The Leaders of the Core Group spoke about various points pertaining to the organisation and the political scenario in the State," he said
Meanwhile, Abdullah also interacted with various public delegations, who called on him at his residence in Srinagar.

"Delegations from Rajouri, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Langate, Kupwara and Sharda-Sharief called on Abdullah," the spokesman said.
He said the NC president interacted with the delegations and was apprised of various local issues in their particular areas.
The party president took note of the issues and assured the visiting delegations that NC leaders and its cadre were committed to the welfare of the State and its people and would always fight for their rights and just demands, the spokesman said.
Abdullah underwent organ transplant surgery in the United Kingdom in December last year. His absence in the campaign for assembly elections held late last year was seen as one of the reasons for National Conference's defeat, which saw party getting the least number of seats in the assembly since its inception nearly seven decades ago.
