Three weeks after winning the Srinagar Lok Sabha bypolls, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah today analysed the election data of individual assembly segments to chalk out the party's strategy to consolidate its grassroots strength.
Abdullah reviewed the election data at a party meeting attended by NC working president Omar Abdullah, legislators, zonal office bearers and constituency in-charges from Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts, a party spokesman said in a statement here.
He said the meeting, also attended by general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar and provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, reviewed organisational affairs in these districts.
"Abdullah reviewed the election data from individual segments and discussed threadbare the steps that are being taken to consolidate the party's grassroots strength," the spokesman said.
Abdullah won the Lok Sabha bypoll which was held on April 9 amid widespread violence which claimed nine lives, defeating ruling Peoples Democratic Party's Nazir Khan.
The constituency recorded the lowest ever voter turnout of 7.1 per cent.
