In separate messages, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah described the incident as tragic and prayed for peace to the departed souls. The two leaders also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families.
National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammed Sagar, Provincial President Jammu Devender Singh Rana, senior functionaries of the party and legislators also expressed grief over the incident and conveyed their condolences.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee also expressed shock, with JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmed Mir and other senior leaders of the party conveying their condolences on the deaths of seven persons, including the pilot and a newlywed couple.
