So far Rs 419.82 crore has been given as compensation to 854 farmers, said Fatehabad's Revenue Officer.
"Almost all the farmers whose land was acquired for the plant have received their amount of compensation," the district Revenue Officer, Ram Singh Bishnoi.
Giving details of the amount of compensation, he said 704 farmers of Gorakhpur village were given a compensation of Rs 380.41 crore, 123 farmers of Baropal village were given compensation of over Rs 38.11 crore and Rs 1.3 crore had been given to 27 farmers of Kajalheri village.
"Thus compensation for 1366 acres of land out of total 1503 acres acquired for plant had been released to farmers," he said.
Meanwhile, a faction of farmers owing allegiance to Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, today announced to call off their two-year old agitation against the setting up of nuclear Power Plant at Gorakhpur.
Members of the Samiti announced this decision today in the presence of Fatehabad Deputy Commissioner M L Kaushik.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaushik said the state government was committed for safeguarding the interests of farmers and others, and assured them that in future also no stone would be left unturned for ensuring their welfare.
Citing the safety aspect, Haryana's main opposition party INLD has already cleared its stand that it would not allow the nuclear power plant to be set up.
