This follows a VMC decision taken few months ago to construct a new track for a toy train to replace the original one at the Sayaji Baug garden.
The toy train meant for children below 12 years of age ran on a small track with 10 inches width, covering a distance of 3.5kilometres, giving the children a view of the 113-acre Sayaji Baug garden.
The toy train was a gift to Vadodara's children from the erstwhile royal Gaekwad dynasty.
Sayaji Baug was dedicated to the citizens of Vadodara by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III in 1879.
