Sant Parkash Singh, retired from Intelligence Bureau as a Section Officer, and his unmarried son Gurpal, a Chartered Accountant, were found dead yesterday after a neighbourer entered the house using a duplicate set of keys, they said.
The deceased left behind a suicide note, the contents of which suggest that they were in a state of depression, police said, adding, Sant Parkash's wife passed away some time back and it is learnt that the duo had been upset since then.
The bodies have been shifted to a government hospital from where they would be handed over to relatives following the postmortem, they said.
