Father stabbed to death, mother, 2 others injured

A man allegedly stabbed to death his elderly father and attacked mother, brother and a nephew with knife following an argument at Nazirgunj in Howrah district today.
A senior police officer said Ganesh Roy (65) died on the spot after being stabbed, allegedly by his son Laxmishankar (37) during heated argument at home.
The mother of the accused, his brother and nephew were also hit by knife when they tried to stop him and had to be taken to hospital, the officer said.
The accused was taken to police custody.
Neighbours and the injured told the police the accused had argument with other family members, including father, over property.
