Following their 2-3 loss in the final to Chennaiyin FC on December 20, FC Goa boycotted the medals ceremony, alleging the game was fixed.
"FC Goa has been fined Rs 50 lakhs (which is to be paid within 10 days) for not attending the post match Presentation Ceremony of the Hero ISL Final 2015," the All India Football Federation said in a statement after a meeting of its disciplinary committee at the Football House.
FC Goa had said that they were forced to boycott the prize distribution ceremony because the ISL authorities failed to take action against Chennaiyin FC marquee player Elano Blumer who is alleged to have assaulted and abused FC Goa co-owner Dattaraj Salgaocar.
The AIFF's disciplinary committee had earlier served show cause notice to FC Goa under its Disciplinary Code and ISL Regulations.
