As part of its initiative for development of football in Pune via mass participation, the Rajesh Wadhawan Group and Hrithik Roshan co-owned team would conduct football tournaments for different levels, a media release said today.
FC Pune City CEO Gaurav Modwel said that besides creating awareness about the club, such an initiative would also bring football enthusiasts at all levels on one common ground.
"We need to align and integrate all the forces of football to catapult Pune City into a new bastion of Indian football. Ours is a young city and no doubt with huge talent potential, need of the hour is to provide platforms for nurturing the talent and exhibit it," Modwel said.
Three layered tournaments are to be conducted as part of the programme -- starting with 5-a-side tourney for all clubs registered with the Pune District Football Association (PDFA).
