Federation of Central Universities Teachers Associations (FEDCUTA) today extended support to AMUTA in the protest against "religious intolerance" and "attacks on freedom of expression in the country".
In a letter to Aligarh Muslim University Teachers Association (AMUTA), National President FEDCUTA said, "FEDCUTA and the coordination committee of Teachers Associations of Delhi stand in full support and solidarity with AMU teachers on the issue of the dastardly murder of a person by a mob in Dadri."
"The attempt of disruptive fundamentalist forces to create an atmosphere of fear among religious minorities has to be fought tooth and nail," Professor Sachidananda Sinha President of Jawahar Lal Nehru University said in the letter.
Secretary of AMUTA Mustfa Zaidi, who released the letter said the unstinted support of all open minded persons in the country provided a ray of hope.
