Federation Cup qualifiers to begin from Tuesday

The qualifying rounds will be played between six teams divided in two groups, organised said here.

Winners of each group will qualify for the final round to be played in Siliguri in West Bengal and Ranchi from September 19.

While Kalighat Milan Sangha (IFA), Royal Wahingdoh FC (Meghalaya), Mohammedan AC (IFA) are in Group 1, Aizawl FC (Mizoram), Vasco SC (Goa) and HAL SC are in in Group 2.

The qualification rounds matches will be played at the JRD Tata Sports Complex here.

The AIFF announced last month that the final round had been shifted from Assam and would now be played at the north Bengal town of Siliguri and the Jharkhand capital.

Sixteen teams in four groups will play it out for the final to be held at Siliguri on September 30.
