Female farmers attend National Agro Expo in large numbers

The National Agriculture Exhibition, known as 'Krishi Vasant', organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) received a large number of women farmers, an official release said here today.
Farmers interacted with scientists and expressed their concerns and difficulties, even as they sought the guidance from the panel of experts.
Additional Secretary of the Union Ministry of Agriculture Dalip Singh said that interactions of farmers with industry specialists is the need of the hour so that there is an exchange of ideas, technical advice, tips for germination, and fertilisation.
He noticed the presence of women farmers who were not only curious to learn about horticulture and mechanisation, but also to interact with the panel.

Baramati farmer Kishore Tulsiram Kate shared how he worked on creating his own brand of milk and ice creams.
