The 15-member delegation, led by Hiten Haresh Bhuta, CEO, CGS Infotech Ltd., met with Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) chief Tarek Bader Salem Al-Mutawa in presence of its Director General, Rabah Abdulrehman Al-Rabah at KCCI's premises.
During the meet, India's Ambassador to Kuwait Satish C Mehta stated that bilateral trade between two nations during 2012-13 was over USD 17.6 billion and underscored the importance of such visits to keep the momentum going.
Speaking on the occasion, Al-Mutawa lauded the India-Kuwait relations and the growing bilateral trade. He also briefed the delegation about the upcoming opportunities under Kuwait's Development Plan for Indian companies.
Al-Mutawa divulged that KCCI would mount a business delegation during the visit of Prime Minister of Kuwait to India in November 2013.
A B2B meet was also organised for the FICCI delegation to interact with the Kuwaiti business community.
Some companies that are new to the Kuwaiti market are seeking tie-ups with companies there to expand their network to the region.
