Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has got the exclusive rights to provide transportation through its premium cars to the FIFA officials during the mega sporting event, the company said.
The FIFA U17 World Cup is being hosted by India for the first time. It will commence from October 6 with matches in New Delhi and Navi Mumbai.
The other four venues for the World Cup are - Guwahati, Kochi, Delhi and Kolkata. There are 24 teams which are participating in the mega tournament.
HMIL managing director and chief executive officer Y K Koo officially handed over these cars to Martin Nussbaumer, marketing operations group leader of FIFA and Javier Ceppi, tournament director, local organising committee at a ceremony held at New Delhi's Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium today, the release said.
