Negre, along with FIH vice-president Antonio von Ondarza and chief executive officer Kelly Fairweather, will arrive here on April 10 and hold meetings with all the concerned parties to sort out the differences between HI and IHF before leaving the country on April 13.
"As promsied during the Olympic qualifiers the FIH president will be coming here on April 10 for a host of issues, which includes the co-option of IHF in HI," HI secretary general Narinder Batra told PTI.
"The FIH has always said that two federations can't exist in a country. The existence of two federations in a country is also against the International Olympic Committee charter. The FIH has always maintained that it recognises HI in India," he added.
"I am always hopeful of a solution. We have given IHF options and it is for them to decide," Batra added.
During the London Olympic qualifiers in February this year, the FIH president had given both HI and IHF a month's time to sort out their differences.
