An International Film Festival, with 'journalistic courage under fire' as theme, was inaugurated by Kerala Minister for Cinema Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan here.
The festival titled 'Behind the Lines, Between the Lines', organised by Thiruvananthapuram Press Club in association with the United States Consulate, would feature 24 films from eight countries.
The festival was also to honour and remember Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and decapitated by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002.
Renowned film personality Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, Press Club President P P James were among those present.
