Film fraternity in celebratory mode post National Awards win

With a healty smattering of Bollywood and regional films at the 62nd National film awards, the winners today said the recognition came as a "huge encouragement".
Vishal Bhardwaj, who helmed "Haider", said his five awards for the film gave him the confidence to keep treading the unconventional path by making movies of his choice.
"It has been the most fruitful film in terms of both box-office and critical appreciation. It makes you more fearless now and it again reiterates the fact that I should just follow my heart and not look for other people's approval for my work," Vishal said.
Bengali director Srijit Mukherji dedicated his best director award at the National Film Awards to late filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh.
"I dedicate the award to Ritu da (Rituparno Ghosh) and to the rest of the team who was involved in it. Ritu da was a part and parcel of the team who made Chotushkone," Mukherji said.
Sanchari Vijay, who bagged the best actor national award for his role in Kannada film "Nanu Avanalla Avalu" (I am not a he, but she), is "elated" with his win.

Though Priyanka Chopra lost to Kangana Ranaut for the best actress but she congratulated her for the star's second National Award.
"I hate losing. But if I had to take a back seat to anyone this year it would be U #KanganaRanaut ! Congratulations!yay Queen!#SmallTownGirls," she posted on Twitter.
While Churni Ganguly, whose directorial debut "Nirbashito" won the Best Bengali film award and the sound designer trophy. felt a sudden emptiness after hearing the news.
"There was a sudden emptiness within me after I got the news that my first film bagged the national honour. It can't be defined," Churni, who is the wife of Kaushik Ganguly, said.
For Tamil superstar Dhanush, it's is proud moment as his production venture "Kaaka Muttai" won best child artist and children movie award.
"Wunderbar films and grass root film company's kaakkamuttai wins 2 national awards. Best child actors and best children film. We are really proud as producers of kaakkamuttai," Dhanush tweeted.
First time director Chaitanya Tamhane is hopeful that his independent movie Court's best feature film win will give the movie a much-needed boost ahead of its release next month.
"Our very first thought is that the timing couldn't have been better. Of course, it is a great honour and we all are pleasantly surprised because we did not even know that the awards will be announced today," he said.
"I am really happy with the win and this song is a blessing for me. It has given me reward, love and turned my attention towards music to another level. I am thankful to the song and to Vishal and Gulzar. "Bismil" is very special to me," Sukhwinder told PTI.
