The film also received the technical excellence award for best sound design at the festival, organized by Vigyan Prasar of the Department of Science and Technology.
Director of the film, Gurmeet Sapal, received the award from noted filmmaker M S Sathyu in Mumbai yesterday, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest M Lokeswara Rao said here today.
Produced by Nagaland State Forest Department in 2015, the film was made with the technical collaboration with TERI, New Delhi.
While expressing happiness that the film bagged the two awards, Rao said that the real champions are communities of Nagaland who are protecting and conserving these areas since time immemorial.
He said with the screening of film in the 6th National Science Film Festival, the audience came to know about the efforts of these communities in conserving these areas which are rich in carbon pool.
