Film producer Madhan very much alive: Madras HC told

The Central Crime Branch today informed the Madras High Court that film producer Madhan, who was reported missing in May after an alleged failed business transaction with SRM group, is very much alive.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police S Radhakrishnan, who is investigating the case, told a Division Bench of justices S Nagamuthu and V Bharathidasan that the materials collected till date prima facie reveal that he is very much alive.
The officer informed the court while hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by Madhan's mother that he is hopeful of locating and securing Madhan in due course.
Radhakrishnan filed a status report in the court on two cases entrusted to him for investigation.
While one was the missing case pertaining to Madhan, the other was regarding cases filed against him and others for allegedly collecting money with false promise to get medical admissions in a leading private medical college.
Expressing satisfaction with the investigation, the bench gave two more weeks to continue the probe and adjourned the matter for two weeks.
On June 6, Madhan's mother had filed the HCP seeking a direction to Virugambakkam police to produce her son before the court.
The court had on June 9, entrusted the probe of tracing Madhan with Central Crime Branch and directed it to file a status report.
