Twenty three internationally acclaimed films from European Union countries will be screened at a three-day European Union Film Festival here from August 22.
The festival will be held as part of the 21st Anniversary of the European Union Film Festival, organised across 11 cities in India, which will conclude here.
The films to be screened have either won reputed awards or have been nominated to prestigious competitions, a press release from Bharatiyar University, where the films are being screened, said.
The festival has been organized by the Department of Communication and Media Studies in association with the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF), Chennai.

The films would be screened at three locations simultaneously at the varsity, it added.
