Final permission for EDM event yet to be granted: Goa min

State Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar today told State Legislative Assembly that they are yet to give final permission to organizers of EDM (electronic dance music) festival "TIMEOUT72 HOURS" to hold its event in Goa this month.
"(Tourism) Department has not issued final permission to the organizer. However, the State Level Permission Committee (SLPC) has recommended to grant permission to Aayush Mehta to organize music festival (EDM) under the banner TIME OUT 72 HOURS from December 27 to 29," Ajgaonkar said responding to a question tabled by Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar.
The minister said permission will be issued on compliance of all conditions issued in the provisional NOC.
The minister added that applications to hold events are processed as per the requests received from the private organizers.
"No application for EDM festival has been received for South Goa," he stated.
Meanwhile the organizers of "TIMEOUT 72" have already announced its line up of performers which includes US based rapper Wiz Khalifa and singer Jason Darulo.
