The three-member enquiry committee, instituted to investigate the procurement and installation of CCTVs at Raj Bhawan and CM's bungalow, has submitted its final report to Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
The report was submitted yesterday.
The Chief Minister N Biren on May 17 last had ordered a probe into the Rs 8.01 crore scheme and had told the three-member committee to submit its report in 15 days.
The probe was ordered after the BJP-led coalition government came to power in March this year.
The probe was necessitated after malfunctioning of the CCTVs consequent upon installation of the cameras in 2009-10 and 2010-11 during the period of the former Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh led government.
The then Congress government had sanctioned about Rs eight crore for installation of CCTVs at Raj Bhavan and CM's bungalow, but the installed cameras became nonfunctional after a few days.
