The TAPMI Finance Lab is the largest such lab in India and would help bridge the gap between the theory and practice of finance, the institute said.
The Lab was inaugurated by Bombay Stock Exchange Chief Financial Officer Nayan C Mehta, who said it places TAPMI in a select league of management institutes around the globe which would provide students with an insight on the feel and knowledge about real market situations before even completing their education.
Mehta told the students that the Lab would give them a competitive advantage and "one thing that would stand you out from others is your knowledge gained from using the facilities of this Finance Lab."
He also said that creation of competitive advantage is not a one-time process."It is a continuous process and today's competitive advantage can cease to be as such in future." The students should continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills and thinking to remain competitive and relevant.
