Rajasthan minister Rajkumar Rinwa has said that there should be a constitutional provision to "chop" and "finish off" those politicians who insult the Indian Army or tries to demoralise them by levelling false allegations.
"There should be a provision in the Constitution to chop such politicians who are making statements on those protecting our nation in harsh conditions, be it 50 degrees Celsius or in sub-zero temperature.
"Law should be there that those politicians who make such unfortunate statements should be finished off within five minutes and even without registering a case," he had said in Kodila village of Sikar district on sidelines of a function to unveil the statue of 1971 India-Pakistan war martyr Kesar Dev Meel on Sunday.
The Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Department of Devsthan said that his blood boiled when he saw the statement of a politician on the Army, apparently referring to Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan's recent allegations against army personnel.
Terming it as "unfortunate", the minister told PTI, "No politician has the right to demoralise the Army. If one do so, he should be finished off and there should be a provision in the Constitution for this".
