FIR lodged against 57 employees for encroachment on govt land

The Sone Canal Division Chairman Roopnandan Sharma were among 57 employees named in the FIR lodged with the vigilance police station on the charge of encroaching the irrigation department's one acre 35 decimal land, the sources said.

The FIR was lodged against the employees after they failed to vacate the land even after issuance of notice by the state government on November 19, 2011. A copy of the FIR has been placed before the special vigilance court.
