Fire at Bengali flimstar Prosenjit Chatterjee's house

A fire broke out in the residence of Bengali filmstar Prosenjit Chatterjee's house in the Ballygunge Place area of the city tonight.
Fire department officials said four tenders were rushed to the actor's house, Utsab, after smoke was seen billowing out of the kitchen.
"The fire, which originated from the kitchen, was doused in 30 minutes. Preliminary investigation indicate that there might be a spark in the chimney, which led to the fire. We will examine the cause of the fire in detail," a senior fire department officer said.
City Mayor Sovan Chatterjee and the actor's sister Pallavi Chatterjee rushed to Prosenjit's house after news spread about the fire.

The actor later on said he and his friends who were in the house when the fire started, were evacuated by security personnel of the building and there were no reports of any injuries.
