Fire at manufacturing unit; 23 admitted due to suffocation

Twenty-three labourers were hospitalised due to suffocation after a fire broke out in a wire manufacturing factory in Kartarpura industrial area here.
None was injured in the incident, police said.
The fire broke out last night in which the factory was gutted. The labourers present in the factory got trapped, they said.
Due to suffocation, they complained of breathing problem and were hospitalised, the police said.
In another incident in Mahesh Nagar, a cylinder exploded in a house damaging the roof of the house. No one got injured in the incident, police added.
