Fire at petrol pump in Thane

A major fire broke out at a petrol pump on the Ghodbunder road here at about 7 this evening.
It was brought under control in about 45 minutes, an official said.
Satosh Kadam, the officer in charge of the Disaster Control Room of Thane Municipal Corporation, said the petrol pump was situated at the Kasarwadavali intersection, and four fire engines and water tankers were rushed there.
Cause of the fire was not yet known. More details were awaited.
