The fire started at around 2.45 am at Congress party's office situated on Ambedkar Road of Siyani Gate area, fire department officials said, adding that there was no casualty but loss to property worth thousands could not be ruled out.
Congress had taken this office on a rent in view of the Lok Sabha elections for actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar who is the candidate from Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat.
Officials of fire department said that by the time firemen arrived, heavy smoke had filled the air.
Chairs, tables and other materials were gutted in the fire, the official said.
