Fire at station, train disrupted

Local train services were disrupted in Bongaon-Sealdah section of Eastern Railway today after fire destroyed shops on a platform at Thakurnagar station in North 24-Parganas district.
Railway sources said the cause of fire has not been ascertained yet. Six small shops and kiosks on the platform number 2 of the station were damaged in the fire.
Local train services were disrupted for 25 minutes on the route and services were normal after two fire tenders doused the flame, officials said.
