The fire broke out at one of the distillation columns of the company's manufacturing facilities situated at Roha Industrial Estate, Maharashtra, Deepak Nitrite said in a regulatory filing.
The incident occurred at around 2 am on October 21, 2016.
"The fire was brought under control promptly with the help from Roha Fire department, MARG and Reliance Industries. The company is thankful to them for their timely help. There was no major injury caused due to the fire except minor injury caused to two persons, who have been treated and are fine," the company said.
"The initial quick estimate of the expenditure to repair the damage caused due to fire and restore the production is around Rs 3 to 5 crores. Both, the expenditure as well as loss of business caused due to this fire are covered under insurance," the company said.
