According to the fire department, six fire tenders were rushed to the spot after the blaze came to notice in the afternoon.
"The fire was noticed around 5.30 AM. It was brought to control after about five hours," an official said.
There were no casualties in the incident, largely because the area is secluded.
Such incidents happen at this time of the season almost every year due to temperature fluctuations and the abundance of dry leaves.
