Fire brigade douses building flames; rescues trapped family

Four members of a family including three women who were trapped on the terrace of a commercial building at Begumpet here in a fire incident were rescued by the fire brigade personnel today.
The fire started in a three-storeyed building which also houses a penthouse, at around 4.30 am and four fire-tenders were rushed to douse the blaze immediately, while four people staying in the penthouse fled to the terrace, a fire official said.
A hydraulic platform was used to rescue trapped people from the terrace, while flames which engulfed the building, was put off in three hours, he said.

"The exact cause of fire is being investigated and officials are also probing if there is any suspicious cause behind the incident," the official said.
