The fire started due to leakage from a gas cylinder.
Personnels of Kakinada Fire Office and a rescue team from the Nagarjuna Fertilizers rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, police said.
The fire spread very quickly because the area is close to the coast.
Nobody was reported injured.
Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, city MLA Vanamadi Kondababu, collector H Arunkumar, DSP Venkateswararao and others visited the spot.
